13) Reasons why Divorce is Wrong (Upholding the sanctity of the marriage bond with the firm understanding that God hates divorce, Dr Gorrie lays out a number of Biblical reasons why divorce is wrong in the sight of God. Working from the conviction that every marriage is meant to depict the union of Christ and His Church, Dr Gorrie points out that divorce therefore sends the message that Christ divorces His Church, which we know He does not!) 14) Rely on your Instruments (When flying a plane, pilots are taught to first check their instruments and then to rely implicitly upon them for position and direction in flight. To rely upon feelings and sometimes even sight, could prove to be fatal for the pilot. So likewise, the Christian is to rely upon his/her compass, the Bible, for direction in life and not upon popular opinion or the emotions. 15) Re-claiming your Inheritance (A message for all those who need to be encouraged to re-claim from the devil, what he has stolen from them during their times of weakness. The drift of this message is – ‘Don’t just sit there and take it as a lost cause; stand up on the inside and in the name of the Lord, claim back your inheritance. Satan wants to destroy your marriage, don’t let him. Exercise your authority and re-claim your inheritance.) 16) Scorched Earth Policy (The strategy of war is to burn and destroy everything that the advancing enemy could use against you if you are over-powered in battle. In like manner, Christians need to be scrupulously particular in destroying anything and everything of their old carnal life style that the devil could use to seduce them back into the world. This is the Scorched Earth Policy!)
